I had a recent experience where I bought a prepared fruit bowl at a deli (a rather upscale, but non-organic deli) and with my first bite into a piece of fruit I almost started gagging - there was a very strong metallic taste in the fruit. I was horrified at how chemical the fruit tasted.

Now I usually eat organic, but I wasn't never any natural food store and was hungry so figured fruit would be the best bet - wrong! What a sad testament to our food industry when conventionally grown fruit (and vegetables) which are supposed to be inherently healthy are so full of chemicals they are actually dangerous to consume.
