A popular ayurvedic healing method is using warm ghee, or clarified butter. Using an eyedropper or your finger, put about 3-4 drops in each nostril three times a day, morning, midday, and evening. This will make it hard for allergens to penetrate the nasal passages.
A better remedy is to install 2-3 drops of Medicated oil in each nostril, eary in the morning.
This is called 'Nasya' and it is one of the 'Panchakarma' therapies in Ayurveda.
Another ayurvedic healing method is to use 1/2 teaspoon of the indian herbal formula sitopaladi after lunch and dinner with a little honey. Sitopaladi is available from some Indian grocery stores.
